Travellers need to keep checking which areas have been declared COVID-19 hotspots, as the COVID-19 situation is continually changing. Even after arriving in the NT, you may need to take action if you were previously in one of the currently-declared hotspots. Groote Archipelago COVID-19 ADVICE #19 – 15 July 2020 – Additional Hotspots Declared

Arrivals in the NT from "hotspots" will face mandatory quarantine from 17th July. The NT Government has declared the State of Victoria, and on 15-7-2020 added Greater Metropolitan Sydney, as hotspots, and advises that all non-essential travel out of the NT is cancelled at this time.
